Malorie Blackman is the new Children’s Laureate.

Malorie Blackman has succeeded Julia Donaldson as the Children’sLaureate. The role is awarded once every two years to an eminent author or illustrator of children’s books to celebrate outstanding achievement intheir field. She is the eighth author to be bestowed with the honour.

Author of over 60 children’s books, including the award-winning Noughts and Crosses series, she is a staunch support of libraries.

Copies of Malorie’s books are available to borrow from the Library, including her latest book Noble Conflict which was published last week.
