Red House Book Award

In conjunction with the Southampton Children’s Book Group and Waterstones, Thornden pupils are being given the opportunity to compile the shortlist for next year’s Red House Book Award.

All pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 can take and you do not have to review the book – just grade it from A to E (A being ‘most excellent’ and E being ‘would never read again!’).

We have just received another selection of books so if you’d like to take part please come to the Library and choose a book.  Titles include Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner (winner of the Costa Childrens Book Prize), Lost Worlds by Andrew Lane and Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr.maggotwinterlost world
