Red House Book Award

In conjunction with the Southampton Children’s Book Group and Waterstones, Thornden pupils are being given the opportunity to compile the shortlist for next year’s Red House Book Award.

All pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 can take part and, if interested, attend a meeting in the Library at lunchtime on Wednesday, 7th November.  If you are unable to attend this meeting, come to the Library to express your interest and/or take a book to read.  You do not have to review the book – just grade it from A to E (A being ‘most excellent’ and E being ‘would never read again!’).

Books available to read from the longlist include ‘Dodger’ by Terry Pratchett, ‘Alice in Zombieland’ by Gena Showalter and ‘Eleven Eleven’ by Paul Dowswell.
