Hampshire Book Award 2012

Our group of year 8 judges who have now read all the shortlisted books, went to Wyvern Technology College to meet with other pupils involved in the award. There were lively discussions about the books and a quiz to test their knowledge on them.

When we returned to school the group voted for which book they thought should win, and Thornden’s winner was ‘Half Brother’ by Kenneth Oppel with ‘Angel’ by L. A. Weatherly runner up.  All the votes have been sent to Hampshire SLS and the overall results will be announced on 27th June 2012 at Winchester Discovery Centre.

If you would like to read any of the shortlisted books copies are available in the library.
